Frequently Asked Questions

Do you photograph weddings?

No. I photograph maternity, newborn and family sessions only. I will happily recommend some incredible artists who beautifully capture weddings.

Do you have set locations you hold sessions at?

I have a number of go to spots across a range of different locations. If you have somewhere in particular in mind I am always open to exploring new locations.

Do you travel?

Yes absolutely I do. Cover my travel costs and I will be there.

My husband isn’t keen to be part of the session. Do you photograph motherhood sessions?

Yes. I have done a number of sessions without the Dads there. If they come along reluctantly it can be hard to get authentic, relaxed and loving shots… and let’s be honest your camera roll is likely full of your kids and their dad anyway! Some of my favourite sessions have been motherhood sessions.

When is the best time for a maternity session?

I suggest you consider booking your session between 32-37 weeks.

When is the best time for a newborn session?

Between zero - 4 weeks is ideal for newborn sessions. In saying that, it is never too late to capture you and your baby. If you are a little later there are plenty of perks too (including those gummy grins).

Do you book extended family sessions?

No, immediate family only. There are some talented photographers who do a beautiful job at extended family sessions, I am happy to recommend a few.

What times do you hold your sessions?

My outdoor sessions are held in the hour or two before sunset. Obviously sunset is at different times depending on what time of year you book. Although sunset in summer is later, I assure you a later bedtime for just one night really is worth it. In home sessions can be held anytime in daylight hours.
